Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor, is in air and why not, because his upcoming movie Half Girlfriend is going to hit the big screen very soon.
This is the second time that Arjun will be the part of the film, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel. He was first seen in the movie “2 States” and now in “Half Girlfriend”. But according to Arjun, he focuses on the director’s vision in order to act in the movie rather than reading the novels.
While talking to media, Arjun said that, this is the second time he is working on Chetan’s novel but none of his directors ever asked him to read the book. He added the character he is portraying in the movie is quite easy to understand and Chetan’s presence in the scripting process made the work even easier to understand.
The movie Half Girlfriend, is directed by Mohit Suri, where the story line of the movie is how a boy from Bihar faces the problems in adjusting himself in a metro & at the same time his lack of communication skills, especially in English puts him into more problem in his college career.
Arjun added that, it’s the mentality of people who think that knowing English is everything. It seems to them as if they are smarter and more intelligent but the fact is not the same. He said, ‘I come across many people in daily life when I find them uneasy while speaking in English, I start speaking to them in Hindi but I never ever judge anybody on basis of their speaking skills’.
Arjun thanked Mohit for offering him such a beautiful movie, where he is playing a role of a common man who really wants to do something for his village, especially for women. He also said that, it is hard to find a love story with such type of content.
