The promotions for Madhur Bhandarkar’s film ‘Indu Sarkar‘ are on. The movie is set against the backdrop of Emergency and due to the sensitive subject it has been facing a lot of issues. For the promotions, the team is in Pune, but are stranded in their hotel room due to a protest against them happening right in the lobby.
Madhur posted a few ictures of the same and tweeted, “Congress workers hv barged in the Hotel lobby & created ruckus,me & team are stranded like hostages in hotel room. #pune activity cancelled.”
After which he posted a video clip where people are seen protesting outside the hotel. He wrote, “Its baffling to see self proclaimed custodians of #freedomOfExpression creating huge ruckus to prevent a legitimate release of #InduSarkar.”

A few hours later, he tweeted again saying, “Thank u for your timely intervention Commisoner Rashmi Shuklaji @PuneCityPolice & spl thanks to DCP Mundeji for ensuring safety of my team.🙏”
This is very wrong of people to do only to not let the film release. ‘Indu Sarkar’ stars Kirti Kulhari and Neil Nitin Mukesh and is slated to release on the 28th of July 2017.
