The Bollywood diva, Parineeti Chopra is appointed as the first Indian woman ambassador in “Friends of Australia” (FOA) advocacy panel by the Tourism Australia.
The “FOA” programme has been invented as a way to encourage long term and mutually beneficial friendship with those that Tourism Australia sees as extraordinary storytellers.
The panel has also included prominent personalities like cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle and chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
Having a keen interest in traveling, Parineeti Chopra keeps holidaying across the world. She said, “In fact I travel a lot and visit 4-5 new countries every year, I am that kind of a person.”
Further, she exclaimed that Australia holds a special space in her heart saying, “Australia is one of those places I was waiting to visit as I have heard a lot about it and researched so much. So, when I went there, it was like meeting a star. It was like, you have only seen him on TV or seen in pictures, but now meeting in person. That was the kind of feeling I had, and I felt very loved over there.”
The actress had already fascinated us with her amazing pictures from her trip to Australia, the previous year. In order to explain her deep connection with Australia she added, “Even if not for this honour, I find myself very connected with Australia. When I first went to Australia, I literally did a ”Saashtang namaskaar” (kissed the ground) when I came out of the airport. It was this one location I had been waiting to go to.”
Parineeti is gearing up to explore every bit of Australia right from the coastal beauty to the rich wildlife. As per the reports, she will be soon exploring Gold Coast, Brisbane and Ayers Rock in order to get indulged in various adventurous activities.
