This year has seen a lot of make ups and break ups happen in the film industry. And the biggest split up was that of Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan. The two divorced through mutual consent after spending 18 years of life together. But the divorce hasn’t stopped the two from being around each other. We’ve got to see various picture of them together either on dinners or outings with their families. The recent one was when Malaika planned the 50th birthday for Arbaaz. And this bonding even after their divorce has raised many eyebrows and people keep talking about the same. You know how the “society” is, right?
After keeping her patience for all this while, Malaika has now spoken up about Arbaaz, her single status and a lot more while in an interview with a leading daily. She said, “Arbaaz is a part of my family, the father of my child. Certain equations don’t change overnight. The things that happened should remain between us. It’s personal. We don’t have to prove anything to anybody. Meeting him makes my son happy, and that makes me happy. Come on! For Amu (sister Amrita Arora Ladak), he’s like a brother, and he is a son to my parents. What happened is between us.”
Adding to which she said, “Arbaaz and I have known each other all our lives. It was emotionally difficult, but we haven’t really talked about it because we are private individuals. He is very important to me. No matter what happens or where life takes us, Arbaaz will always be integral to my life.”
When she got questioned about her single status and that she still uses ‘Khan’ on her Instagram handle, she said, “Yes, I do use Khan (laughs). God, I haven’t thought it [being single]. Honestly, it hasn’t been a conscious decision. What has to happen will happen organically. Let’s see where life takes me.”
