“I have never been ashamed of whatever I do,” says Kalki Koechlin who is unfazed by hate comments.
What has happened to us these days? We are active on social media just to poke, for fun at whatever we observe? Are we actually enjoying trolling celebrities online for any silly reason that comes to our mind? And how can you just start mentioning hateful comments to anyone and especially for the industry’s most powerful ladies?
Right from Priyanka Chopra, Esha Gupta to Deepika Padukone, whoever has tried to set examples for all, to be comfortable in our own skin, mentioning time to time that beauty lies in the eyes, everyone had been trolled for their looks.
And this time, it’s actress Kalki Koechlin, also known as the face of the modern woman. And this is so because she always showed the courage to stand for the right and had never stepped back from this. She is also known for portraying powerful roles with extreme authenticity.
Recently, she posted a nude picture of her to urge women to embrace their nakedness. In return, she was shamed and receive hate comments.
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, they say. I guess we find this black and white picture beautiful. And if you didn’t, then the problem lies in your thoughts and attitude.
Meanwhile, the actor is too refined to be bothered by any of it. In an interview to Mid-day she said, “I have never been ashamed of whatever I do.”
She also added, “As women, we often are depicted through a man’s perspective, but this picture was clicked by a woman photographer. That’s why I found it significant to share the photograph.”
