Looks like Irrfan Khan is having a good year. It started with a Netflix show ‘Tokyo Trials’ produced by a Japanese-Canadian production, which became a must watch for everyone in the digital world. After which came the success of ‘Hindi Medium’ which also happened to be one of the only successful films so far.
The actor has just recently finished the shoot of his next Hollywood project and is now back to the bay to shoot for his next exciting project. This project was in news a while back, where people were speculating things. But now we have an official news which says that the actor is going to collaborate with the mdia honce, Ronnie Screwvala. This project will be under the banner of RSVP, Ronnie’s new film production venture.
This untitled film will have Irrfan and a leading lady to share the screen space with him. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film will talk about three characters from different walks of life, who are thrown together on a similar bizarre journey which then helps them find some normalcy in their lives. Since we knoe Irrfan always takes up interesting roles, in this film too, he’ll be playing a conservative yet quirky, simple and opinionated lover of Urdu poetry. We also hear that he’ll be using his unique comic timing, which is always loved by all.
The shoot will begin at the end of this month, after Irrfan returns from the premiere of Anup Singh’s ‘The Song of Scorpions’ at the Locarno Film Festival.
When Irrfan was asked about this new project, he said, “I’m excited to be collaborating with Ronnie again. It’s a fun character for me to play and rather interesting project to be a part of.”
