Actress Katrina Kaif may not be an Indian by birth, but Bollywood runs in her blood and she considers the industry her home. After years of working in films, the actress is kind of fluent in Hindi. Talking about Bollywood, actresses are now eyeing regional cinema if Bollywood doesn’t work out, and many A-List actresses are also getting lucrative offers from the West. It was Priyanka Chopra who started the trend as she became a popular name in the West, thanks to a lead role in the famous TV series, ‘Quantico’ followed by many awards. She is soon to make her big screen debut opposite Dwayne Johnson in ‘Baywatch’. Then, we have Deepika Padukone, one of the top actresses in Bollywood, who got an offer to star opposite Vin Diesel in ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ and she rocked it completely in the movie. Now, amidst all this, when DNA quizzed Katrina on wanting to be a part of Hollywood projects, here’s how she replied. She said, “As an actor, I want to be part of good films. This (Bollywood) is my industry, this is my home, a place that has obviously given me my career and so much more. But if someone from there comes to me with a good offer, there is no reason why I would not want to do it. Especially, for me, in a place where the language is my first language and the added bonus of listening to English scripts. For me, it will be a lovely experience to do a Hollywood film at some point.”
She further adds, “The other steps for getting into Hollywood like an agent, manager, building a base there, etc, is a bit painstaking and a time-consuming process and something I need to dedicate a little more time to. It would be lovely and something I would love to do, of course, but it’s not something that I have the time for, immediately.”
Alright! We believe that she would be well-suited for a Hollywood movie, considering her natural accent and her looks.
