It is no news that Kangana Ranaut‘s debut as a writer for her upcoming film ‘Simran’ didn’t go well with Apurva Asrani. And so he slammed the actress by writing about it on his Facebook post.
Now we have reports which say that Kangana will also be turning into an editor for the film, where she’s been giving inputs of cutting the trailer of the movie, which is supposed to release on 8th of August. Reports also said that director Hansal Mehta did not raise any objection for the same.
After which, Hansal slammed these reports and tweeted, “Kangana is an integral part of the #Simran team and as a key member of a democratic team we value her inputs and involvement.”
Adding to which he said, “It is even more ridiculous to drag Vishal and Rangoon in your piece. Your speculations are false, malicious and misguided.”
A source close to the production team informed, “It seems like a plug from someone who will benefit from creating negativity around Simran. Though the team is very hurt with these speculations, they have decided to fight the negativity together.”
“Antra Lehiri is the editor of the film and Kangana has seen the the locked edit before she left for Manikarnika schedule.” The source concluded by saying, “The team worked on the promo with a lot of enthusiasm and collaboration and there is no need (for anyone) to run anyone down. Promo will be out on August 8, 2017,” the source added.
On Kangana’s work front, she’s been busy shooting for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, which is slated to release on the 27th of April 2018.
