Dilip Kumar has been unwell for quite some time. Last December he was admitted to Lilavati hospital after having fever and swelling in his right leg. Recently the Legendary actor was once again admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
The thespian has been suffering from a kidney ailment. He was rushed to the hospital early this evening and was kept under observation in the ICU.
As per sources, the superstar was admitted for dehydration and urine infection. He was to be kept under observation for at least two days. The antibiotics will be administered to him through an IV drip, for this, he will be accommodated in the ICU.
The latest on the actors health condition is that it has worsened and he is now on ventilator.
Noted pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar said, “His kidney functions have not improved. On the contrary, it has worsened. He is on the ventilator. We will be able to give a proper briefing in the morning.”
Dilip Kumar is who married to actress Saira Banu has been a proud recipient of Padma Bhushan (1991), Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1994) and India’s second highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan (2015).
