Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised since the last few days at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. He was suffering fro, dehydration and urinary tract infection. But we now get a confirmed statement that he is recovering and has shown steady improvement. However, he’ll be kept under observation in the intensive care unit for a few more days. He is being treated by cardiologist Nitin Gokhale and nephrologist Arun Shah at the hospital.
The hospital official statement reads, “Dilip Kumar is stable, comfortable and steadily improving and all his parameters are also improving. He is slowly coming back to normal. Creatinine level has also been coming down. He is passing urine, he is not on ventilator, he is not on dialysis either and he is doing well. Dilip Kumar is still in ICU because there we can monitor him in a much better way. It’s very difficult to say when he will be get discharge but it will take some more time.”
PTI quoted Vice President of Lilavati Hospital as saying, “Today he has no fever, no breathlessness. He is conscious, the creatinine levels have come down as compared to yesterday. Due to his age, he is under observation and will be in the ICU for two-three days depending on how his body responds.”
Dilip ji has been admitted several times in the last few years. In fact, he was hospitalised twice in the last year itself. He celebrated his 94th birthday in December in the hospital ward last year.
We pray for his speedy recovery!
