Legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The thespian has been suffering from a kidney ailment. He was rushed to the hospital early this evening and is kept under observation in the ICU.
As per sources, the superstar was admitted for dehydration and urine infection. He will be kept under observation for at least two days. The antibiotics will be administered to him through an IV drip, for this, he will be accommodated in the ICU. After observation, he will be brought back to his room, where he was originally admitted.
Dr Jalil Parkar, who is attending on the 94-year-old actor says, “He has been afflicted with anuria and needed hospitalisation. He is under observation.”
Dilip Kumar has been unwell for quite some time. Last December he was admitted to Lilavati hospital after having fever and swelling in his right leg. Later, he had taken to Twitter to update on his health, and his fans and followers were relieved to see him doing well.
The actor is who married to actress Saira Banu has been a proud recipient of Padma Bhushan (1991), Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1994) and India’s second highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan (2015).
