Deepika And Ranbir Talk About Their love Story And You Will For Sure Get Emotional

Some love stories are never meant to be fruitful. Bollywood has seen some real life love stories but there have also been others that left fans heartbroken. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are the perfect example of it. Both made really a hot pair unfortunately it didn’t workout. They looked like a match made in heaven. Their split left their fans heartbroken.

The love story started when both were new to industry. They started dating in 2007. Eight years later, fans were shocked when this adorable couple called off their relationship. Many have been searching about the real reason behind the breakup. Report was that, Deepika caught her beau red handed with another woman. Some other reporters also say that they called off their relationship because Ranbir’s mom, Neetu Kapoor was not in support of the relation. While media and reporters were busy in discussing their split, the love pair had once shared how their love story began. We have few bytes of their interview which was held on 2008. Heard of RK Jr?

This this sweet conversation, Deepika revealed how she got to hear about Ranbir. She said, “When we were shooting for our respective debut films (Om Shanti Om and Saawariya) we had just heard about each other. We had common makeup artists, Bharat and Dorris. Dorris is really fond of us, and she told me that he Ranbir is a really sweet guy and we should meet up”.

The First Meeting…

Deepika recalled her first meet with Ranbir and said, “Dorris had once called him when she was with me. She said, ‘Why don’t you guys talk?’ That’s when we first spoke and exchanged numbers”.  


A Date Night…

Deepika said, “A few days later, almost around the same time (July 2007), he asked me out for lunch. He came and picked me up and we went to Celini at Grand Hyatt (Mumbai) for lunch”. Ranbir joined the conversation and said, “We just happened to spend the day together”. Deepika revealed, “It was meant to be only lunch; but lunch became coffee; coffee became cheesecake; and cheesecake became movie”.

A Night To Remember…

Ranbir remembered every little detail. He said, “Mr Bean’s Holiday is the movie we watched at PVR Cinemas in Juhu. I clearly remember she was wearing a white ganji and white linen pants. She had her hair tied up in a bun”. On the other hand, Deepika seemed to have a problem with Ranbir’s shoes. She said, “I don’t remember really. He was wearing layered clothes: a T-shirt and a half sleeve shirt on top of it. Oh, how can I forget the ugly shoes that he had worn? What are those shoes called?”. Ranbir replied, “Timberland”. But for Deepika the time spent was more memorable. She said, “That (the date) didn’t end there. It became a long drive and then he dropped me home. We started seeing each other on February 23, 2008”.


‘Love’ for this couple was…

Deepika said, “Now he has changed, he wears these really cool shoes. But at that point the couple of times we met he wore this pair of ugly shoes. I remember complaining about the shoes to him then”.

Ranbir said, “I only wear them now when she is out of town. But they are a favourite pair of shoes”.

It resembles some romantic tales are not intended to be. We bet that everyone who love this couple CRIED on finding this interview again almost a decade later too.
