After returning back from a movie hall, we are generally left enchanted by the grand sets, locations and of course, the story of the lead characters. But sometimes we feel bad for few characters that were left ignored.
Those characters are painted as the meanest people alive and the imperative sidekicks are just not given any attention. So that we fail to understand their point of view, sometimes due to lack of good story for the character and sometimes due to lack of time. Obviously, it is an unfair treatment of these characters.
We got 11 supporting characters from popular Bollywood movies to relate exactly how unreasonably they were treated in their movies:
Omkar (Aparshakti Khurana) from Dangal
This character was just the puppet who was prepared for Geeta and Babita’s training. I wouldn’t deny that he was not interested in the beginning, but he had the potential to become a wrestler. His uncle never bothers to train him.
Elizabeth (Rachel Shelley) from Lagaan
She learned Hindi for him and spent hours in the hard sun just to train him cricket so that he could learn and win. But it had no meaning for him. She did all just to get noticed by him. But what she got at the end? “Baba Ji Ka Thullu”. He chooses Gracy Singh over her.
Preeti (Mandira Bedi) from DDLJ
She met Raj at her brother’s wedding. She was a Desi girl and Raj was a Vilayati. He even proposed her for marriage. If he had ever told her that he is into Simran, then she would just be left them alone. But don’t know why Raj mess with her.
Sarfaraz (Sushant Singh Rajput) from PK
Even with the disgusting hair, Jaggu was the love of his life. She said that she was over the Baba, but some people never change. She was so dumb that she couldn’t understand Sarfaraz was a good guy. An alien had to come from another planet just to realize her that he was a good guy. This is totally Sick.
Vikram (Rahul Khanna) from Love Aaj Kal
He fell in love with Deepika. She even said YES and they got married. But don’t know what the hell happened to her, she left him. He was alone in a foreign country for his Honeymoon and it was exactly similar to Rani’s Paris and Amsterdam trip.
Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) from Mohabbatein
Raj Aryan would want the audience to believe that he was evil but friends, his only daughter passed away. Raj blamed him. But genuinely no one can take a teenage love story seriously. Raj was a student from his school “Gurukul” and was messing with his daughter. As a concerned father, he expelled him from his school and he told people that Narayan Shankar is an Antichrist.
(Moral: Kids, just concentrate on your study.)
Raj (Hrithik Roshan) from Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai
Raj is a cool guy who had the bunch of friends. He is from NZ. But the girl (Amisha Patel) from India had messed up him. She told him that her ex. Boyfriend (Rohit- who was dead) and Raj are looking like same. She started believing that he is Rohit. So fell in love with him. They got married. After that, she realized that he is Rohit. But still, she calls him Rohit. WTF!!!
Aman (Salman Khan) from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
He pursued Anjali for years and finally, she said YES. He was totally unknown to her long lost boyfriend Rahul. But then she met him again and they fell in love with each other this time. She was toying with Aman compromising her feelings. But Aman was such a big hearted guy that he sacrificed his love for Rahul. RESPECT!!!
Datto (Kangana Ranaut) from Tanu Weds Manu Returns
Datto was an athlete and she had no intention of someone’s mid-life crisis. But what happened to her in that story? She was left as an altar and it was good for her. On the off chance that one is as hesitant as Manu, he really merits nobody else yet Tanu
Jasjeet (Abhay Deol) from Raanjhana
This character died because of someone’s need for drama. Zoya was never ready to marry Kundan and she had made it clear. But he was expecting her badly. So he exposed Jasjeet in front of Zoya’s family which actually resulted in his death. And what happened to Kundan? He also died.
So these are the 10 characters who got ignored by the audience. Are you agree with it? Then share your views with us.
